"The quantity of college age girls with boob jobs was still impressive."

Well, now pretty much all my co-workers have gone home. I'm the last one left, which is only fair seeing as how I was the last one in this morning. I have to stay until our last research document goes out for the day, which is usually around 4:30. Hopefully traffic won't be too bad on City Avenue.

Well I must say, so far this blog has been pretty boring. However, not that many overly exciting events happen in my life these days, so maybe that's just par for the course.

Of all the things that happen to you that indicate you are in fact getting older, I think the most striking ones are times when you re-live a familiar experience, but then realize that it has been several years since the last time you did it, and your life is much different now. For instance. Back when we were in the later years of college, and immediately after graduation, we would go to a place called Barnaby's on Thursday nights, becuase they had cheap food, cheap beer, and a clientele that seemed to consist of the Main Line Trophy Wives In Training Association. Well, last night Jeff was in the area, so we decided to stop by. And indeed, little about Barnaby's had changed; the wings were still ten cents each, the beers were still a dollar, and the quantity of college age girls with boob jobs was still impressive. But sitting there in the booth, you couldn't help but realize that although Barnaby's was still the same, we had moved on. We were a few years older. Married. Homeowners.

Now of course, none of that is bad, but it still hits you a little bit. Now I'm sure that if my circumstances were a little different, these kinds of situations could be quite depressing- memories of a bygone time that you had to leave behind for something less favorable. But fortunately for me, life now is anything but "less favorable". College was fun and all, but I have plenty of good things going on these days too- and in fact, I am going to go hop in one of them and drive home now. Till next time.

First Blog Post

Well, I figured I might as well start one of these things. Doubt anyone will ever read it, but hey, why not, and I'm having trouble concentrating here at work on a Friday afternoon.
